Block four - Judging Literature
Introduction
The Ghost Road was the first A300 set text I read before the course started. It was just as good the second time around; I found it particularly fascinating that this masculine novel set during the first World War was written by a woman. The book also mixes historical facts and real characters with fictional ones in an interesting and unique way. I chose The Ghost Road as one of my texts for the ECA.
Probably more than the other two plays Waiting for Godot was very hard going, I just didn't get it at all.
I particularly enjoyed Heaney's poetry, but at this stage of the course I was distracted by thoughts of the End of Course Assignment.
I managed to read and enjoy Paradise but didn't use it in my assignment.
