Magellan Meridian - Personal GPS

Image of Magellan Meridian GPS This page is about my Magellan Meridian GPS and contains information and resources on personal global positioning systems. I purchased my Meridian online from Spotlight Guides Ltd, in December 2003. I registered on the Magellan web site, and down loaded the latest firmware version (4.02). The Meridian comes with a PC serial lead, so it's straightforward to connect to a com port and up load the hex file to the unit, using the firmware installer zipped with the software release.

The unit then has to be initialised by following the on screen prompts and then it's ready for use and can acquire satellite locations.
