Bill Larnach's web site

Please note that none of the css menu pages of this site are intended to work in Navigator 4.x., which is now several years old. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that browser, but one reason this site exists to further my knowledge of xhtml + css, and web design.

This web site is a personal site about Bill Larnach - my interests, and studies as an Open University student. I graduated from the Open University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree. I've decided to continue my studies with a second degree - a Bachelor of Arts with Honours this time.

In 2005 I completed A300 - 20th Century Literature: Texts and Debates. In 2006 an English language course: 'E301 - The Art of English'. But in 2007 I'm having a break from the OU and concentrating on Scuba diving, with trips to Antigua, and Scapa Flow planned.

More information can be found in my blog.

My other main spare time interest at the moment is scuba diving. I spent two weeks diving in Barbados in May 2005, and I completed the PADI rescue diver course in July 2005.

I'm fascinated by sharks and one day I hope to dive with great whites while on holiday in South Africa, or Mexico.

This web site has been designed using cascading style sheets (CSS) for the pop-up menu roll overs, etc. The idea's came from Eric Meyer's CSS Edge site. My aim is to try out new ideas and learn more about web design, in preparation for the Open University Certificate in Web Applications Development.
